Private AI memoir studio

Information site only • local-first • private by design

Preserve a life story with care.

Lorevox is a private, local-first AI memoir studio designed to help preserve memories, relationships, timelines, and life stories through guided conversation. Lori, the interview guide, helps shape spoken memories into structured history and human-editable memoir writing.

Lorevox is currently in development and is not a public online app. It is being built for local hosting and private use, with an emphasis on authorship, dignity, privacy, and family history.

Core model
ARCHIVE → HISTORY → MEMOIR

Lorevox preserves original source material, builds a structured historical layer from what is said, and drafts a narrative memoir that remains clearly editable by the human.

Archive is the preserved source record: transcripts, audio, photos, scans, and session material.
History is the structured layer: facts, claims, contradictions, relationships, and timeline events.
Memoir is the narrative draft: assembled with AI assistance, but always treated as editable writing rather than truth itself.
What Lorevox is
  • A memoir and life-story platform centered on guided conversation.
  • A local-first and privacy-conscious system.
  • A way to turn spoken memory into structured history.
  • A writing environment for human-reviewed memoir drafts.
What Lorevox is not
  • Not a public social platform.
  • Not a cloud memory-mining product.
  • Not a medical records system.
  • Not a replacement for the person’s own voice and judgment.
Why this direction

Most personal AI tools are built for productivity or conversation, not for preserving a life with dignity. Lorevox is being designed around memory, authorship, reflection, privacy, and family legacy.

Why I’m building Lorevox

Occupational therapy shaped this project.

Lorevox is being developed by Christopher Horne, OTR/L. After years in pediatrics, school-based occupational therapy, teletherapy, family collaboration, documentation, assistive technology, and person-centered support, this project emerged from a simple conviction: people need better tools to preserve identity, memory, and life story without losing privacy or human authorship.

The values behind Lorevox are closely aligned with occupational therapy: listening carefully, meeting people where they are, supporting communication, respecting context and culture, reducing barriers, and helping people participate in meaningful life activities.

Guiding principles
  1. Human memory is primary.
  2. The interface should support reflection, not data entry.
  3. Partial progress still matters.
  4. Human edits are sacred.
  5. Emotionally difficult material should be handled with care.
  6. The system should remain calm, respectful, and private by design.
Help build Lorevox

Feedback, ideas, and thoughtful collaboration are welcome.

Lorevox is still in development. If you are interested in memoir design, privacy-first AI, family history, accessibility, occupational-therapy-informed technology, or thoughtful UI/UX for older adults, I would be glad to hear from you.
